NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- After completing a 4-0 weekend in singles and doubles play to open the 2025 fall season, junior Alexandra Piugachova enjoyed her first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Player of the Week award on Wednesday afternoon.

Pugachvoa, a native of Lund, Skåne, Sweden, went undefeated in the Vikings' two matches this past week. She claimed her first victory of the season in# #2 singles against MSOE with sweeping 6-0 wins before earning a win in the #1 singles slot against Judson (6-2, 7-6). In doubles play, she joined Katja Carlberg for a 6-0 win in #1 doubles against MSOE and a 6-1 #2 win alongside Thea Gifvars against Judson this past Saturday.

Pugachova had the most singles wins for the Vikings last year (15), boasting a record of 15-3. She lost just one singles match in CCIW play and was 11-1 in the #3 singles position. This is the first career CCIW Player of the Week award for Pugachova.
