CHICAGO, Ill. -- North Park Women's Volleyball claimed their fourth College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) weekly honor on Monday afternoon when junior middle blocker Meg Rothermel was named the CCIW Offensive Player of the Week.
Rothermel and the Vikings played in just one match last week, securing a four-set win over Carroll University. In that match, Rothermel drove a season second-best 13 kills and boasted a .478 hitting percentage in 23 chances. The middle blocker from Cary, Illinois added a pair of aces and a season second-best six blocks, including a solo.
Rothermel joins teammates Annaliese Rottman (Sept. 2) and Kendal Britton (Sept. 2, 15) as Vikings that have earned Player of the Week honors in 2025. Rothermel is the top blocker for North Park, boasting 50 on the season, and her 131 kills is good for third on the team.
Rothermel and the Vikings (15-2, 2-0 CCIW) are back in action on Oct. 1 with their toughest opponent of the season - seventh-ranked Illinois Wesleyan. First serve in Carlson Gym is set for 6:00 PM CT.
