CHICAGO, Ill. -- Four different representatives from North Park Men's Soccer have now earned College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) honors in four weeks of league play, as sophomore midfielder Alexander Gahm was named the CCIW Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday morning.
Gahm assisted on a pair of North Park's late-game goals in a come-from-behind win at Wisconsin-Whitewater last Friday. His first assist linked with junior defender Eduardo Cirilo to senior defender Hugo Neborg along the goal line. His second arrived after possessing his own rebound off the Warhawks' keeper before finding the open man, sophomore midfielder Bastian Eikeland, who sent in the game winner in the 87th minute.
Gahm is one of four Vikings to have at least one goal and one assist and his pair of assists now tie for second on the team with junior midfielder Mathias Soerum.
The Vikings have claimed three of the CCIW's four Offensive Player of the Week honors, as senior midfielder Vidar Rydell and Soerum were awarded weekly honors on September 16 and 9, respectively. Perez earned the first weekly honor of the season on September 2 as the Defensive Player of the Week.
