CHICAGO, Ill. -- North Park Men's Soccer hosts an exciting Homecoming match on Saturday evening as part of three-straight home games at the Holmgren Athletic Complex. The Vikings host the Wheaton Thunder for a 2025 rivalry matchup.
Sophomore midfielder Bastian Eikeland and Alexander Gahm lead the Vikings with eight points each. All of Eikeland's points are via goals, as he leads North Park with four on the season. Gahm is the top set up man with four assists. Vidar Rydell, Kevin Perez, and Mathias Soerum all have multiple goals to their credit as Rydell adds three assists to his senior campaign.
The Vikings (6-2, 1-1 CCIW) are coming off a 5-1 win over Millikin this past Wednesday where Eikeland tallied a pair of goals.
The Wheaton Thunder (5-2-3, 1-0 CCIW) are coming off consecutive wins against Elmhurst and Kalamazoo, blanking their opponents while scoring five goals.
Luke Vander Kolk is Wheaton's, and the CCIW's, goals leader, scoring nine times in his 10 games played. He's scored in the Thunder's past five contests, including twice on Wednesday against the Kalamazoo Hornets. Cooper Falling, Andrew Heeringa, and Craig Rusin all add three assists.
Kickoff at the Holmgren Athletic Complex is set for 7:30 PM CT, following the women's game.
