CHICAGO, Ill. -- Seniors Wesley McCloud and Jereme Ombogo were honored with the first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Players of the Week for the 2025 season. McCloud grabbed Special Team recognition while Ombogo was the Offensive Player of the Week.

McCloud, a wide receiver from Peoria, Illinois, returned a pair of kicks for 123 total yards in the Vikings' season-opening win at Ripon College. One of those kick returns was a 95-yarder all the way back for a touchdown to open the second half of play against the Red Hawks. He also caught a pair of passes for 44 yards.

Ombogo, a senior wide receiver from Houston, Texas, totaled 198 receiving yards in his first game of 2025 on just six catches. Three of those six receptions went for touchdowns, including a 98-yard connection where Ombogo was off to the races. He added a 30-yard punt return and rushed for 20 yards on a pair of carries.

The duo looks to Millikin this coming Saturday, September 20, to open CCIW play at Frank M. Lindsay Field.
