CHICAGO, Ill. – North Park Men's Volleyball played in their final home match of 2025 on Wednesday night against the No. 6-ranked Carthage Firebirds. Despite a quality effort, the Vikings fell to Carthage in a three-set match (18-25, 11-25, 20-25).
In the first set, Carthage took an early lead and maintained control, winning 25-18. Ryan Cholewinski led Carthage with 4 kills and 1 service ace, while Owen Otto contributed 3 kills. For North Park, senior outside hitter Ty Ingrao was the top performer with 4 kills, supported by fifth-year setter Teddy Gedville who provided 7 assists.
The second set saw Carthage College continue their strong performance, winning 25-11. Ryan Cholewinski again led the team with 4 kills and 2 service aces, while Hudson Sweitzer added 3 kills and 2 blocks. North Park struggled to keep up, with Ty Ingrao managing 3 kills and Teddy Gedville contributing 6 assists. After hitting .207 in the first set, North Park hit an even .000 in set two: 8 kills and 8 errors on 28 attempts.
In the third set, the Vikings picked up their pace, pushing Carthage to multiple ties However, despite the improvement, Carthage completed the sweep with a 25-20 win. Owen Otto led Carthage with 5 kills, while Ben Heise added 4 kills and 2 blocks. Ty Ingrao continued to lead North Park with 7 kills, and Teddy Gedville provided 8 assists.
