THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- North Park Men's Volleyball was swept in their Cal Lu Tournament play in Thousand Oaks, California this past Friday and Saturday. The Vikings suffered straight-sets losses to Illinois Tech and No. 7 California Lutheran, a 3-1 match to No. 15 UC-Santa Cruz, and five-set loss to Marian.
Fifth-year libero Noah Chanthalangsy tied a six-year-old record for digs in a three-set match, previously held by Colin Wong, in the match against Illinois Tech. Chanthalangsy dug out 17 attacks in the loss. More impressively, in not even one full season with the Vikings, he's climbed to ninth all-time in the Vikings' record book with 237 digs in his 21 matches with NPU.
Senior outside hitter Ty Ingrao drove 14 kills against Marian while senior middle blocker Sam Robinson sent 15 to the floor. Robinson hit .533 against UC-Santa Cruz, .500 against Cal Lu, and .414 against Marian. He also added 11 blocks in his four matches played.

The Vikings (9-12, 2-3 CCIW) step back into CCIW action this coming Wednesday, March 19, with a match at Illinois Wesleyan University (11-8, 1-4). First serve at the Shirk Center will be 7:00 PM CT.
