Naperville, Ill., -- The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) recently announced their Player of the Week award, giving the honors to North Park guard Mike Vuckovic for his performance in North Park's 95-84 win over North Central College on December 13th.  Coming off a big win the week before against Millikin University, the Vikings kept their foot on the pedal against the Cardinals after a week's rest.  They were led by none other than Mike Vuckovic, who posted an efficient 26 points on 9-14 shooting from the field and 5-7 from behind the arc.  Vuckovic added 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and a game high 7 assists while logging 0 turnovers in 37 minutes.  

This is the second time this season that Vuckovic's has earned CCIW Player of the Week honors after winning it in the first week of the season where he averaged 23.7 points, 7 rebounds, 4.7 assists, on 52% shooting over a three game span.  Through the first third of the season, Vuckovic is among the CCIW leaders in scoring (4th), assists (4th), 3PT% (4th), FG% (10th), and assist-to-turnover ratio (2nd), continuing to make a strong case for an All-Conference nod. 

The Vikings take on Greenville University at 4pm on Monday, December 15th in the Carlson Gym as they look to extend their win streak to three before taking on a couple more non-conference foes.
