Viking Volleyball concludes season at hosted tri-match

CHICAGO, Ill. -- North Park Women's Volleyball completed their 2025 season on Saturday, falling to Coe College and Ohio Wesleyan University.

Match 1: Ohio Wesleyan 3, North Park 0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-22)

Despite a competitive third set, North Park was swept by Ohio Wesleyan in straight sets. The Vikings struggled offensively, hitting just .117 as a team and committing 24 attack errors.

Senior outside hitter Shamyia Collier led the way with 9 kills and 8 digs, while senior outside hitter Annaliese Rottman added 8 kills. Junior setter Kendal Britton dished out 24 assists and contributed 7 digs. Senior libero Carolina Aviles anchored the back row with a team-high 13 digs.

Ohio Wesleyan hit .231 and served six aces, including two to close out the first set. Jordanne Shannon paced OWU with 9 kills and a .500 hitting percentage.

Match 2: Coe 3, North Park 2 (21-25, 26-24, 25-11, 23-25, 15-10)

North Park pushed Coe College to five sets in a thrilling evening match but came up short in the final frame. The Vikings opened strong, taking the first set and forcing a fifth with a gritty fourth-set win.

Rottman again led the offense with 13 kills and 3 service aces, while fifth-year middle blocker Kharlie Simeona-French added 8 kills, 12 assists, and 2 aces. Senior outside hitter SaeAuna Reynolds chipped in 10 kills and 7 digs, and Collier posted 8 kills and 2 blocks.

North Park's defense was active, recording 63 digs and 11 total blocks. Aviles was a standout with 26 digs and a service ace. Senior middle blocker Riana Hayes contributed 4 kills and 4 blocks, and senor middle blocker Kyla Wooden added 2 kills and 4 blocks.

Coe was led by Avery Beckett's 14 kills and Kelsey Hansel's 10 kills and 11 digs. The Kohawks hit .187 and served 13 aces.
