Vikings set to host Stars in return to North Side

Women's Basketball sets sights on first win streak of 2025

CHICAGO, Ill. -- Dominican University heads to Chicago on Saturday, November 22, for a non-conference matchup in North Park Women's Basketball's return to their home courts. The Vikings look to make it two in a row, following a convincing win at Illinois Tech on Thursday night.

The Stars enter the game with a 2-1 record, averaging 64.3 points per contest while holding opponents to 56.0. Dominican is shooting 34% from the field and 22.8% from three-point range, while converting 64.7% of its free throws. Dominican has been strong on the glass, pulling down 41.7 rebounds per game with a +4.3 rebounding margin, and has shown defensive success with 14 steals per game, forcing 29.3 turnovers from opponents. Lia Saunders leads Dominican with 11.3 points per game, while Kennedy Yost is also averaging a double-digit scoring total.

North Park enters at 1-3, coming off its first win of the season at Illinois Tech. The Vikings average 55.3 points per game and allow 55.8, shooting 34.1% from the field, 30.3% from three, and 72.9% at the line. Individually for North Park, junior forward Caroline Long leads with 12.8 points per game, 8.8 rebounds per game, and a 89.5% free-throw rate (17-19). Junior guard Aliyah Hershberger adds 11.5 points per game while senior guard Kathryn Keehn averages 10.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
