CHICAGO, Ill. -- The North Park Women's Golf team competed at Metamora Fields Golf Course for the CCIW Preview on Wednesday afternoon. The Vikings shot a new team low of 359, led by a seventh-place finish from Kelly Deterding.
In the conference tune-up meet before the championships in early October, Deterding cracked into the top 10 at #7 (+6) in a field of 43 competitors on Wednesday. She picked up two early birdies on holes #3 and #4, becoming one of just five players in the preview to birdie on consecutive holes. Deterding also played 10 holes to a par.
Amber Fellows finished in the middle of the pack at t24, shooting a +14. Fellows birdie'd hole #10, one of five players to birdie that hole. Fellows added seven pars to the preview match.
What's Next?
North Park makes a quick turnaround to compete in Kansasville, Wisconsin at the Midwest Region Fall Classic this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 20-21. First tee time at Brighton Dale Golf Links is set for 9:00 AM.
