CHICAGO, Ill. -- The North Park Women's Soccer team was on the wrong end of a 1-0 shutout in their home opener on Sunday afternoon. North Park fell to the Central Dutch following a 22nd minute goal by Grace Coates.

A battle for possession at midfield for a good portion of the first half showcased just seven total shots between the two teams. North Park's Julia Önnerheim put the first shot on frame that was saved by Central keeper Zoey Sizemore.

Unfortunately, a collision of Vikings led to the first and only goal of the game as Central's Grace Coates finished the job with a wide open look. This first half goal would be the lone score of the game, as NPU fell 1-0.
