Kaleb Patrick ends career with second-team All-CCIW honors

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Three-year starting libero Kaleb Patrick ends his career with North Park Men's Volleyball on a high note, securing second-team All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) honors on Tuesday morning.

In CCIW action, Patrick proved to be the best at digging out attacks from his opponents. The versatile libero led the CCIW with 109 digs and 2.95 per set, the only player with 100+ digs in the league. He had seven different CCIW matches with 10-or-more digs, including 16 against then No. 4 Loras College on March 6 and 16 against No. 14 North Central College on March 27.

Patrick boasted a CCIW receiving percentage of .943 in 280 attempts and totaled 243 digs (2.38) through the season. He concludes his career with 609 digs, a new program record, and his 1.90 digs per set is good for second all-time at NPU.

Additionally, senior utility player Christian Ayar was named NPU's recipient of the RESPECT Award.

The CCIW RESPECT award is presented at the conclusion of every sports season with each varsity program recognizing one student-athlete. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture.
