NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Park senior middle blocker Parker Payne had a career weekend in Virginia, leading to CCIW Defensive Player of the Week honors on Monday afternoon.

Payne helped the Vikings take three out of four matches on their weekend trip to Virginia this past Friday and Saturday. Payne was in on 10 blocks in his four matches, including back-to-back four-block performances on Saturday against Roanoke and Randolph-Macon. Payne also set career highs with 14 attacks and 10 kills against Virginia Wesleyan, totaling 19 kills in the four matches.
