CHICAGO, Ill. -- North Park University Football saw a program record three Vikings named to the 2024 D3football.com All-Region 5 Team on Wednesday afternoon. Junior safety Ben Butler, fifth-year linebacker Jaydin Miller, and junior wide receiver Jereme Ombogo were all named to the Third Team.

Butler enjoys his first career All-Region nod after collecting first-team All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) honors. He led North Park with 52 solo tackles and his 63 total tackles were third on the team. He had four interceptions, including three in each of Illinois Wesleyan's final three drives of the game to secure a win over the Titans. The speedy safety also added four tackles for loss, a sack, and a pair of pass breakups.

Miller is back on the All-Region list after garnering Second Team honors in his 2023 senior season. This year, despite his opponents' efforts to try and neutralize him, Miller was second on the team with 65 tackles and tied for the team lead with seven tackles for loss. He also led the NPU defense with three sacks totaling 22 lost yards and was one of just two players in the CCIW to force three fumbles. Miller added four pass breakups and 31 solo tackles to conclude a sensational Viking career.

Ombogo enjoyed a breakout season on the football field after earning national attention as an indoor and outdoor sprinter for North Park Track & Field. Ombogo was one of just two players in the CCIW to total 1,000_ receiving yards, joining Wheaton's First Team All-Region receiver Ben Bonga who held the top spot with 1,294. More impressively, Bonga had 74 receptions while Ombogo's straightaway speed and elusiveness allowed him to get to 1,016 yards despite 20 fewer receptions. He added 13 receiving TDs, good for second all-time at NPU, and had two TDs in six different games.
