MOUNT VERNON, Iowa -- North Park Women's Volleyball dropped a pair of matches on Saturday to Coe College and Cornell College, 0-3 and 1-3, respectively.
Against Coe, the Vikings were stung by 12 service aces. The Cohawks sent in four aces by Bella Rio and three each by Kelsey Hansel and Maddie Harris. Coe's Gracie Urbatsch also added four blocks.
For the Vikings, senior outside hitter Adriana Rodriguez led both sides with 15 kills and another double-double with 10 digs. Rodriguez added four aces to her quality three-set performance while sophomore middle blocker Meg Rothermel had four blocks.
In a four-set match with Cornell, the Rams utilized 14 blocks to prevent any big moments for the NPU offense. Nine of those blocks were credited to Cornell's Mia Tubbs.
For the Vikings, Rodriguez led the NPU attack with 18 more kills but Cornell's Ilah Perez-Johnson led the match with 23. Sophomore outside hitter Rian Hobbs led NPU with 13 digs while senior opposite hitter Kharlie Simeona-French had 12.

North Park (11-14, 2-4 CCIW) looks to snap a six-match slide at home against the Augustana Vikings next Friday, Nov. 1, at 7:00 PM.
