ELMHURST, Ill. -- The North Park women's basketball team traveled to face the Elmhurst Bluejays this Wednesday night in Faganel Hall. Elmhurst won in comeback fashion with a final score of Bluejays 75, North Park 63.
The first quarter showcased quality shooting from the Viking offense, shooting 58.33% (7-for-12) from the field. Elmhurst struggled, managing a mere 18.75% (3-for-16) from the field and going 0-for-7 from beyond the arc. Elmhurst slowly climbed back, however, but the Vikings secured a 34-30 lead going into half time.
The second half of the game saw a huge shift in momentum, with the Bluejays taking control. They outscored North Park 20-16 and 25-13 in the third and fourth quarters ultimately sealing the game with a final of 75-63.
