CHICAGO, Ill. -- North Park men's volleyball suffered a three-set loss (25-15, 25-10, 25-19) to the Illinois Tech Hawks in Tuesday night non-conference action. 14 different Vikings saw court time on Tuesday, as sophomore outside hitter Adekunle Adebayo tied a career high with seven kills.
North Park struggled to stop their taller opponent, who managed 41 kills to the Vikings' 26 and held an 8-2 blocking advantage. Illinois Tech hit .415 in the three sets of action, keeping their attack errors to single digits at seven.
The aforementioned Adebayo showcased a quality evening with a .467 hitting percentage alongside seven kills and no errors. Junior setter Liam Miller had 18 assists, the second-highest mark in his career.
For the Hawks, David Singer, Bryan Evans, and Jackson Van Engen all had eight kills as Evans managed an .889 hitting percentage.
