LANSING, Mich. -- The North Park men's soccer team came up short against John Carroll University on Wednesday, falling to the Blue Streaks 1-0. John Carroll was the fourth-ranked team in the country last week.
The first half of a game with terrible, rainy conditions was very quiet despite the nine shots between the two teams. JCU's Hayden Haffner booted the ball to Patrick Koenig, who broke the game open in the 56th minute. This lone strike was enough to secure the win for the Blue Streaks.

JCU outshot the Vikings, 11-9, but North Park was able to get more shots on goal (5-4). The Vikings also amassed more corners (6-5). Â
Forward Michal Dejworek and Midfielder William de Carro both had 3 shots on the night. Willy Wickman recorded 2 shots as well. Â
