CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Vikings men's soccer team utilized an early score to secure a 1-0 win over Millikin on Saturday night.
North Park struck their first and only goal in the third minute of the game. Willy Wickman started the play off with a swift pass to William de Carro. The junior midfielder was able to boot the ball from the left side of the box and just inside the right post for his third goal of the season.

The Vikings dominated the possession game on Saturday, as the ball was stuck to their feet in their attacking third for the majority of the night. North Park amassed 20 shots (7 on) to Millikin's 7 (3 on) while also holding Millikin to a single corner while manufacturing four of their own.
Eleven different Vikings were able to get a shot off tonight. Willy Wickman led the pack with four followed by William de Carro's three. Michal Dejworek, Jostein Blindheim, Carl Karlsson, and Tim Sjostrom each had two while Eduardo Cirilo, Hugo Neborg, Mathias Soerum, Johan Bjorck, and Mathias Roenning all had one.
Junior Goalkeeper, Alfred Sward, protected the night and secured the shutout with a three-save night, including a key punch-out from a header on frame.
