CAROL STREAM, Ill. -- North Park baseball was shut out by the Wheaton Thunder at Lee Pfund Stadium on Friday night, losing 7-0 on the road.
Wheaton cracked 12 hits in the contest, led by three-hit days for center fielder Ben Weaver (3-for-5 with a double) and Mason Diel (3-for-4, 3 RBI). All but one Thunder hitters picked up a knock in the game.
For North Park, Reece Arakaki and Garrett Bragg each picked up a pair of hits while Carlos Martinez and Rylan Kawakami had two walks apiece. Bragg is now on an 11-game hitting streak.
On the mound, Thunder hurler Nate Barker got the win via seven innings of work shutout work and five K's. For North Park, Bobby Bartlett allowed only two earned runs in a 5.2 inning start, punching out six.

North Park (8-20, 2-6) has the weekend off before facing Wheaton once more on Tuesday, April 18. First pitch will be back in Chicago, set for 5:00 PM CT.
