ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The North Park baseball team was shut out in last weekend's three games, falling to Hanover and Benedictine.
Freshman third baseman Rylan Kawakami enjoyed a quality weekend, going 4-for-9 at the plate with three walks and no strikeouts. Additionally, he posted a career performance with a perfect 3-for-3 day against Hanover on Sunday. Justin Swanson cracked a double over the weekend while Carson Blatchford drove the first Viking triple of the season.
On the mound, Tyler Banks fanned four hitters and allowed just one earned run across four hits in his six innings of work against Benedictine on Saturday. Bobby Bartlett navigated 4.1 innings, struck out four, and allowed just one earned against Hanover on Saturday. Finally, Ethan Condit worked 4.1 innings of one-hit, shutout relief, striking out a pair.
