CHICAGO, Ill. -- The North Park women's basketball team enjoyed a third quarter burst against the Beloit Buccaneers on Tuesday evening in their home-opening win. The Vikings cruised to a victory off the back of senior guard Victoria Perry and her new career high 32 points, besting her previous mark of 29 last season at Elmhurst on Feb. 11, 2022.

- The Vikings jumped out to a 9-2 lead to open the game
- Senior guard Hailey Lyczak got the party started with a jumper, followed by more jumpers from freshman guard Aliyah Hershberger, sophomore guard Kathryn Keehn, and Perry, who knocked down a free throw
- The Vikings shot well beyond the arc, shooting 9-of-19 (47%) from behind the 3-point lineÂ
- The Vikings posted 28 points in the second quarter, including 4-for-4 three pointers , and solidified their win with 30 points in the third quarter
- North Park dished it well, assisting on 18 baskets
- Eight steals for NPU, including three for Lyczak
