WHEATON, Ill. – North Park women's soccer concluded their final road game of the 2023 season on Saturday with a 1-0 loss to Wheaton at Joe Bean Stadium.

The statsheet told most of the story in this one, as the Thunder and Vikings were deadlocked after the first 45 minutes. Through the first half, North Park and Wheaton were even on shots on goal (2) and corners (1).  For North Park, Marta Hultgardh had a near immediate shot on goal just 36 seconds into the game before Caroline Sjøstedt added another in the 30th minute.

Wheaton picked up the pace in the second half, tripling the Vikings' shots effort with a 12-4 line total, but the accuracy remained largely the same. Only two shots went on goal for the Thunder in the second half. However, as the game appeared to move towards a scoreless draw, Wheaton's Katherine Ashley sent in the game winner at 85:14.

North Park (2-8-5, 1-4-2 CCIW) concludes its season this coming Wednesday, October 25, at home against Carroll University. Kickoff, following the preceding senior night ceremonies, is set for 7:00 PM.
