Pioneers Squash North Park Women's Soccer CCIW Tourney Hopes

CHICAGO, Ill. -- The North Park's Women's Soccer team needed a win tonight against the Carroll University Pioneers to keep their season alive. Unfortunately, their chance to make the CCIW Tournament was upended in a 3-0 loss, ending the 2023 campaign.

As time of possession was pretty even between both of these teams, two of Carroll's goals came by way of corner kicks delivered by #4 Grace Tumilty and put in by #22 Brielle Ingalsbee at the 29:55 mark of the first half and #26 Marissa Polan at the 41:16 mark.

The shot totals were evenly distributed with the Vikings totaling three shots to Carroll's five, which is a low number for a Pioneer team that averages a high volume of shots per game.

With three minutes left in the match, the Pioneers notched another goal to make it 3-0, ending the Vikings' season.

Nora Vangsnes led the Vikings with a pair of shots on goal while Agnes Back, Caroline Sjostedt, and Marta Hultgardh each added one.

North Park ends 2023 with a record of 2-9-5 and 1-5-2 in league play. Thank you to seniors Lina Bogg, Linn Nordqvist, Agnes Back, Nicole Boudakh, Aila Durakovic, Marta Hultgardh, Campbelle Hunt, and Olivia Eriksson for their time and dedication to North Park women's soccer and North Park University.
