UNION, NJ -- The North Park Women's Volleyball team swept Kean in straight sets to the tune of 25-20, 25-14, 25-20. The Vikings dominated almost every category leading in kills (48-25), aces (7-1), assists (43-21), and digs (58-42).
Junior outside hitter Adriana Rodriguez led the team in kills with 12, leading her to a CCIW third best at 292 on the season. Following up was sophomore outside hitter Annaliese Rottman and freshman middle blocker Meg Rothermel with seven apiece.
Senior setter Christina Gatta atop the leader boards for assists with 30 in tonight's match. Once again, Gatta finds herself with the most assists in conference with 689.
Gatta was also able to co-lead digs on the night with sophomore libero Carolina Aviles with 11 each. Right behind them was Rodriguez with 10 of her own.
Historical Notes:
- NPU's 48 team kills is 6th-best all-time in a three-set match;
- NPU's 43 team assists is tied for 8th-best all-time in a three-set match. Last year the Vikings set the program record for team assists in a three-set match with 49, and it was also against Kean.
- Adriana Rodriguez's 3 service aces moves her ahead of Niki Ahlstrand and into fourth place on the all-time NPU aces leader board.
