CHICAGO, Ill. – Senior Christina Gatta turned in a triple-double to lead the Vikings in a sweep of Lake Forest College on Tuesday night. Gatta totaled 10 kills, 21 assists, and 12 digs in just three sets of action.
North Park posted its best showing, in front of a rowdy home crowd, in the night's opening set. The Vikings held the Foresters to double digits (eight points) and a -.094 hitting percentage while the NPU offense drove 14 kills and committed just two errors en route to a 25-8 win.
Lake Forest would spring back in the second set, improving its hitting percentage to .257 with 12 kills. However, the Vikings posted a match-best 18 kills to outlast the Foresters, 25-23.
The Vikings wrapped up the night with a 25-16 third set win, securing the sweep at home.
