CHICAGO, Ill. – The North Park women's volleyball team made short work of the Kalamazoo Hornets on Friday night, handily taking the match in straight sets. The Vikings held the Hornets to an even .000 attacking percentage in the match and a single-digit point total in set 3.
The Big Stuff:
- The Vikings totaled 19 service aces, marking the fourth-most all-time. Seven of the aces were from Christina Gatta, which ties the second most in her career.
- A match-leading four blocks by Raghen Walker also sets a new career high for her
- Abby Richmond adds three blocks and as many kills
- Three aces each for Kath Chess and Carolina Aviles
- Double-digit digs for Aviles (12) and Gatta (10)
- Kailyn Matthews led the match with nine kills
- Emi Heinz with four kills, tying a career high
- First collegiate ace for Debbie Dinkel
- First kills of the season for Kayla Rotramel and Mary Kate Giesen
- Giesen also added a pair of aces

North Park (14-4, 2-1 CCIW) hits the road for a quick turnaround match on Saturday, October 1, against Saint Mary's (IN). First serve in Notre Dame is set for 2:00 PM EST.
