CHICAGO, Ill. -- The top-ranked U-Chicago Maroons gave fourth-ranked North Park men's soccer their first loss of the season on Wednesday night.
In a defensive tug-o'-war through 45 minutes, neither team held an advantage. Not only was it a scoreless first half, but the staunch defenses of both teams prevented any shots on goal.
However, the Maroons' Ryan Yetishefsky took over in the second half. The striker turned in a hat trick with goals in the 59th, 61st, and 89th minutes to lift Chicago to a 3-0 win.
Tobias Lunde had the lone shot on goal for the Vikings in the 75th minute.
