CHICAGO, Ill. -- The fourth-ranked North Park men's soccer team returned to their winning ways after stepping back into College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) play Saturday afternoon. The Vikings picked up a 2-1 win over Millikin (0-6-2, 0-2-0 CCIW) thanks to goals by Angel Barriga and Willy Wickman.
How it Happened:
- Barriga opened the game's scoring with a 10th minute goal, assisted by Vidar Rydell
- Millikin's Luke Owsley tallied the neutralizer in the 41st minute on a PK goal
- Assisted by Tobias Lunde, Wickman's 64th minute goal was a game winner from 15 yards out
- North Park only managed three shots in the first half, but had as many corners
- The Vikings did not allow a Millikin corner kick through the first 45
- Three goals in three games for Wickman

North Park (9-1-0, 2-0-0 CCIW) continues its long stretch of away games next Wednesday, October 5, against Elmhurst University. Kickoff at Lanhorst Field will be 7:30 PM CDT.
