CHICAGO, Ill. – The North Park women's soccer team got back in the win column with a convincing 4-0 win over Ripon College on Wednesday night. The Vikings totaled 38 shots, including 21 on frame.
Agnes Back sent in the first tall in the 7th minute off a corner kick from Kajsa Mansson.
Mansson continued to add to her points total when she drove a penalty kick goal in the 27th minute and turned around in the 30th minute to assist on Linn Gradin's goal in front of the box. Madeleine Häger also assisted on that give-and-go score.
Lina Bogg concluded the scoring in the 38th minute with a 20-yard strike, giving the Vikings a 4-0 lead at halftime.
Though this score remained unchanged through the next 45 minutes, a plethora of Vikings contributed in the second half. In total 30 different North Park players saw the field in Wednesday's win. Abigail Balmaseda had a few big moments, totaling three shots including one on goal. Stella Alvstad, Lisa Gustafson, Nicole Boudakh, Ida Hjelle, Danielle Boudakh, Lydia Forsberg, and Sofie Swedberg all added shots on goal.
What's Next?
North Park (2-3-1) will step into CCIW play this coming Saturday, September 24, at Augustana College. Kickoff is set for 1pm and the Viking men's team will follow up at 3:30pm.
