CHICAGO, Ill. – The fourth-ranked North Park men's soccer team manufactured a season-high five goals, all in the second half, to beat Lake Forest College, 5-0, on Tuesday night.
Recent College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Player of the Week Love Brandt sparked the offense right away when he sent a firm shot toward Lake Forest keeper Szymon Mocarski in the first minute. Mocarski smothered the shot and would go on to save two more against Brandt in the 9th, 18th, and 22nd minutes. Mike Dejworek headed the final shot on goal in the half in the 44th minute, but the score would remain tied going into halftime.
The Vikings took off in the second half, blistering 17 shots towards the Foresters' goal. Five goals from four different North Park players would find the back of the net, including:
