CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Vikings men's soccer team lost to the Wheaton Thunder by a score of 2-1 on Saturday night, moving both teams to 4-1-2 in CCIW play as the Conference Tournament draws near.

North Park struck first with a nicely played goal in the 1st half. Isak Flo controlled the ball on the right wing before sending it into Tobias Lunde in the box, who made the extra pass to Noel Holm which set up a wide open Vikings score. The 1st half in full was largely controlled by the Vikings, who dominated possession of the ball while Wheaton looked to attack on the counter.

North Park's handle on possession held up in the 2nd half, but Wheaton was much more dangerous on the counter overall as they put up eleven shots compared to six for the Vikings. Two of those would find the back of the net, both coming within the game's final stretch. In the 79th minute, Mason Louth scored his 1st goal of the season following a heap of bounces and rebounds to equalize the score at 1-1. Teammate Anderson Pryse followed that up in the 86th with the go-ahead goal to give his side the lead and eventual victory. 

North Park's 2022 season wraps up on Wednesday, October 26thwhen the Vikings will honor their seniors in their final regular season contest at Holmgren. The Senior Day celebration kicks off just before the match's start time of 7:00 P.M.
