CHICAGO, Ill. – The No. 12 North Park University men's soccer team is off to a 2-0 start after a 5-0 thrashing of Greenville University on Saturday night at the Holmgren Athletic Complex. After neither side scored in the first half, the Vikings poured on five goals in the second frame to finish of an undefeated first week of regular season play.
North Park struggled to key in on the Greenville goal in the first half, outshooting the Panthers 12-1, but both sides only put one on target. The Vikings also had a free kick by Peder Olsen hit the crossbar and a looping shot by Patrick Knap hit the left post, but neither shot would give the home crowd a reason to celebrate. Alfred Sward would grab his lone save of the game in the first half on his way to his first collegiate shutout and win.

Four minutes later, Patrick Knap finished off a sizzling cross from Angel Barriga, and when Anamoo headed in his second goal of the evening off a high cross from Kristoffer Risnes in the 58th minute, the blowout was on.
With less than ten minutes to go, a save made by the Greenville keeper fell to Willy Wickman who dropped off a simple backheel roll to Tobias Lunde who powered it home for a fourth. Finally, Isak Flo put an exclamation point on the victory with a goal off a corner from Lunde with one second left on the clock.
