CHICAGO, Ill. -- The North Park University women's soccer team struggled to create offensive pressure in their matchup with Central College, who held North Park to just just shot on goal and no corners.
Playing the role of aggressor, Central peppered Viking keeper Emily LaSalle by putting 11 of their 29 shots on frame. Despite her best efforts, which included nine saves, the Dutch scored two by way of an opportunistic rebound and an unstoppable driven ball from 30 yards out that sailed into the upper corner. Those would represent the only goals of the match for either side, leading the Dutch to a 2-0 victory.Â
What's Next?
North Park will look to bounce back in a conference battle with Elmhurst at 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 2. This will mark the Vikings' second conference matchup, which will give them the opportunity to even out to 1-1 in conference play.Â
