CHICAGO, Ill. – The North Park University men's volleyball team dropped their final match of the season with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-17) loss to No. 2 Carthage College on Saturday afternoon at NPU Gymnasium. The squad finished with a record of 8-9 and 4-7 in the CCIW, marking the most for both categories in their three years of being a varsity sport.
They took the highly-ranked Firebirds down to the wire in the second set with a kill from Erik Bullard making it 21-20 in Carthage's favor. Some errors from Carthage even made it 22-all before the Firebirds finished it off and won the set 25-23. In the third set, a kill and an ace from Bullard put NPU ahead 6-5. A little later, a kill by Quinn Robinson and an error by Carthage evened the score at nine. Carthage, though, was able to pull ahead and take the set and the match.

- Colin Wong grabbed five digs, Frank Mauigoa grabbed a kill and three digs, and Phillip Duros snagged a block in the match. It was all three players' final match in a North Park uniform.
