KENOSHA, Wis. -- The North Park University men's volleyball team rounded out the 2021 season in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) tournament, falling to top-seeded Carthage College in straight sets (25-19, 25-17, 25-17) on Thursday night.
The Vikings showcased solid defense against No. 2 Carthage in their first-ever postseason appearance. The Firebirds, significantly taller than North Park, hit just .153 in the match and sub .100 in the first two sets. Additionally, the Vikings totaled five blocks and dug out 32 attacks.
Emmanuel Eugene led the way with a match-leading 11 kills while Quinn Robinson and Teddy Gedville were the stoppers with three and two blocks, respectively.
North Park finishes the 2021 season with a record of 8-10 and a 4-7 slate in CCIW action.
