Bloomington, Ill. – Freshman guard Mike Osborne scored 17, but the North Park men's basketball team fell to a tough Illinois Wesleyan squad by a score of 81-56 on Friday night at the Shirk Center.
After going down 12-1 early, the Vikings scored 10 of the of the next 17 points to with Osborne and Adam Bulwa each scoring five to pull the Vikings within eight. After a pair of free throws by Adam Sundh, Osborne scored the final 10 Vikings points of the half, but North Park would go into the locker room down 16.
Halftime: Illinois Wesleyan 39, North Park 23
The Titans shot the ball superb in the second half, knocking down 54% from the field to help Illinois Wesleyan keep ahold of their lead. Lawrence Pointer led the scoring for the Vikings in the second half with 13.
Final: Illinois Wesleyan 81, North Park 56
