Chicago, Ill.- The North Park University men's basketball team had a career night from Mike Osborne who dropped 25 points on 11-18 shooting from the field but fell to Elmhurst University by a score of 80-68 Wednesday night at NPU Gymnasium.
North Park as a team shot 50% in the first half led by Osborne and Toby Marek, who dropped 16 and eight points, respectively. Jordan Boyd added six points and four boards as well to help the Vikings take a three-point lead into the locker room.
Halftime: North Park 35, Elmhurst 33
It was the Bluejays that broke loose in the second half outscoring North Park by a score of 48-33. Elmhurst shot 55% from the field and were led by Jay Militello, who finished with 23 for the visitors. Osborne knocked down three three-pointers for nine points in the second half to finish off a career high night for the freshman.
Final: North Park 80, Elmhurst 68
