CHICAGO, Ill. -- The North Park women's soccer team lost a battle with the Wheaton Thunder by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday night. The Vikings struggled in the possession battle, but a sturdy defense and great performance from keeper Emily LaSalle (12 saves) kept them in the match until the very end when Wheaton gave themselves a two-goal cushion with two minutes remaining.
The Thunder improved to 3-0 in CCIW play, which is good for a first-place tie with North Central College, who the Vikings play on October 16th.
