KENOSHA, Wis. – The North Park University women's soccer program scored a pair of goals but fell to the Carthage College Firebirds on Saturday afternoon.

Carthage wasted no time in the first half, scoring three goals that were each three minutes apart in the 5th, 8th, and 11th minutes.

However, the Vikings narrowed the deficit on Aila Durakovic's first career goal in the 27th minute and, with fifty seconds to go in the half, a second goal by Agnes Bohlin to cut the deficit to one goal.

Unfortunately, Carthage's Morgan Verbeten drove her second and third goals of the game early in the second half to pull away, 5-2.

North Park out-shot Carthage (18-11) while equalizing their shots on goal with seven each. Additionally, the offensive improvements continued to shine through as the Vikings had four corner kick opportunities.

North Park (3-12-1, 0-6-0 CCIW) will host its final home game of the season this coming Wednesday, October 27, against Carroll University. The game is set to start at 5 p.m. but make sure to swing by for senior night festivities.
