Coach Alex Rosenau's Quote:
Going in, we knew this could be a very fast day given the great weather, fast competition, and a very flat (and traditionally fast) course. There were six nationally ranked teams competing here on both the men's and women's side (including #1 and #2 on the men's side and #2, #3, #5, and #9 on the women's side) so we knew it would be a very talented and deep field. We knew the field would come out fast so we were aggressive when it came to putting together our race plans. Our focus was to stay on the gas in the middle of the race and trust that our training and fitness would carry us to the finish line. As a coach, you rarely see an entire team performance like we saw here so I am excited for the confidence we'll have as we head towards the CCIW championship meet in a couple of weeks. Â
