DUBUQUE, Iowa – With a quick turnaround after hosting Illinois Tech last night, the North Park men's volleyball team dropped a pair of straight-set matches to Adrian College and Loras College on Saturday afternoon.
Game 1 – Adrian College
Against Adrian, the Vikings were outpaced by a .378 hitting percentage, posting just a .093 hitting percentage of their own.
Despite the three-set decision, the Vikings showed fairly well on the stat sheet, when compared to their opponent. NPU tallied four service aces and five blocks while the Bulldogs posted three and five, respectively.
Arthur Barczak led the Vikings with 10 kills while Nathan Nguyen accumulated 3 blocks.
Game 2 – Loras College
In their second match of the day, Loras utilized a staggering 11 service aces and 44 kills to power their way past the Vikings.
North Park, who played three tough opponents in the span of roughly 20 hours, could not muster more than 13 points in a set as the Duhawks carried a dominant .410 hitting percentage.
Frank Mauigoa had a team-best 6 kills while Barczak added three blocks.
What's Next?
North Park (4-17) will enjoy a few days off before continuing their road trip on Friday, March 22 when they play the Fontbonne University Griffins. The match is set to tip-off at 7:00 p.m. in St. Louis, Mo.
