CHICAGO, Ill. -- The No. 18 North Park University men's soccer team took down the UW-Whitewater Warhawks, 2-1, under the lights on a rainy Wednesday night at the Holmgren Athletic Complex.
Though North Park held most of the possession, both teams remained scoreless until the Vikings tacked on a goal midway through the first period. In the 32nd minute, off a corner kick by junior midfielder Gianfranco DeCarne, freshman defender Runar Berg-Domaas scored his first goal in a Viking uniform to open the scoring at 1-0.

The Vikings tacked on one more goal before breaking for halftime. In the 38th minute, off a give-and-go by freshman midfielder Niclas Holgersson, sophomore forward Patrick Knap tallied his sixth goal of the season to put the Vikings up by two goals.
The Viking defense stood tall in the half, as the Warhawks were only able to send in one shot.
