Offense surges as Vikings fall to Bears 21 - 44

CHICAGO, Ill. –

The North Park University football team fell to Washington University - St.Louis 21-44 on Saturday afternoon at the Holmgren Athletic Complex.

The Vikings scored first courtesy of a 24 yard pass from sophomore quarterback Grant Borsch to sophomore receiver Brian Mena.

WashU went to work in the middle of the game, notching 17 points in the second quarter and 14 points in the third quarter.

North Park marked a touchdown in every quarter but the third, including a long 73 yard pass from Borsch to Josh Casey that tied the game at 14-14.

Despite the offensive surge, WashU's fast-paced attack was able to score on seven of eight red zone chances and marked 32 first downs in their 44-21 victory.
