CHICAGO– The 17th-ranked North Park University men's soccer team notched its sixth shutout of the season defeating the Carthage College Red Men 3-0 at the Holmgren Athletic Complex in a 2017 CCIW Tournament Championship rematch on Wednesday night.
Following a scoreless half hour of play, the Vikings got on the board in the 34th minute off a penalty goal by freshman Deni Cresto. With tonight's goal, Cresto tied fellow freshman Joachim Hoff for the team lead in goals (4).
At halftime, Vikings led 1-0.
In the second half, North Park added to their lead. At the 56th minute, junior forward Erik Lundeen connected on his first goal of the season off an assist by Cresto to extend the North Park lead to 2-0.

The Vikings were not done scoring as sophomore Peder Olsen tallied his third goal of the season off an assist by Hoff, making the score 3-0.
