WHITEWATER, Wis. –
The tenth-ranked North Park University men's soccer team picked up their fifth straight win and third straight shutout, defeating the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater Warhawks 1-0 at Fiskum Field on Wednesday.
The Vikings and Warhawks did not amass a goal in the first half as the Warhawks outshot the Vikings 4 to 2.
Moving into the second half of play, the Vikings looked to take control.
In the second half, the Vikings scored what turned out to be the lone goal of the match. In the 76th minute, off a cross by junior midfielder Marrion Alvaro, sophomore Shatil Khoury headed his fifth goal of the season past the Warhawk keeper to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead and, ultimately, the win.
