WHEATON, Ill. -- The 24th-ranked North Park University men's soccer team marked its fourth shutout in the last five matches as they defeated host Wheaton College, 2-0, on Saturday night.
Matias Warp notched the first goal of the match in the 26th minute, heading a corner kick from Gustav Ericsson into the back of the net for his fifth goal of the season.
Not long after Warp's goal, Peder Olsen drove his sixth goal of the season in the 32nd minute.
The Vikings controlled the pace of play inside Joe Bean stadium for the entirety of the match, out-shooting the Thunder 13-5 in total shots and 8-2 in shots on goal. Additionally, North Park earned seven corner kicks while Wheaton had just three.
