A 26-point, six-rebound effort from junior Jordan Robinson powered the Vikings to an 81-62 victory over visiting Trine University in non-conference action Saturday afternoon.

Just as notable was the performance of senior Darius Brown who went for a career-high 13 points on 6 of 7 shooting, including the first three-pointer of his career, as North Park rebounded from its first CCIW loss a week ago.

North Park mounted a 30-point advantage late in the second half and stymied Trine's offensive flow with 11 steals off 21 turnovers which generated 20 points off TOs and 11 transition points.

Senior Juwan Henry added 14 points on 6 of 12 shooting and dished four assists while swiping five steals. Colin Lake also buried three three-pointers and tallied nine points while Joe Biko came off the bench to add eight points.

After a lay-up from Trine's Ellis Cummings' trimmed the Vikes lead to 8 in the opening moments of the second half, North Park blitzed Trine with an 18-8 run which put the hosts back in control at 58-40 after a Robinson three-pointer with 13:25 left. From there, Trine didn't draw any closer than 18 points as North Park used nine TU second half turnovers to its advantage while knocking down nearly 50 percent of its shots (16 of 34) to earn their seventh win of the season.

Will Dixon was the lone player for Trine in double-figure scoring as he tallied 14 points. Adam Ciszewski added nine points for the Thunder as they evened their record to 4-4 on the year.

North Park (7-1) returns to action Monday when it travels to Manchester University in Indiana for a 6 p.m. contest.
