North Park suffered its third-straight setback, a 2-0 decision to visiting Case Western Reserve Saturday afternoon at the Holmgren Athletic Complex.
Despite seven total shots on goal, the Vikings couldn't overcome single tallies by the Spartans in each half. Josh Wargo gave the visitors a 1-0 lead just before halftime when he delivered top left shot off a Brian Woo assist. Jacob Grindel then moved the Spartans advantage to a two-goal lead in the 84th minute when he received a Zach Broujos offering and put a shot in on the bottom left from 15 yards out.
Of North Park's 13 shots, Chase Lennartz fired three while Matias Warp, Nathaniel Paisley and Carel Kawele Kuzona all had two shots each.
The Vikings (9-5-1) return to action Wednesday when they travel to Naperville for a 7 p.m. match with North Central College.
